Sinearian Invasions

Rescue Party

First Day of Sinearian Invasion,

18th Day of the month of Icewind, 14FC (First Combustion)

It has been three days since I had the men release the spiders into the oxygen holes in the mines. Over these three days, all the miners have been killed or eaten. The villagers have sent in several rescue parties, but our plans have worked and all of them were eaten as well. Today the village will send in its best and brightest into the mine. While they are attempting to help their friends or save themselves, we will make short work of this village. Orders are that there are to be no survivors, but my men have been without drink and women for too long and I can no longer hold their thirst.

The village will be burned, and our druids will begin casting the restoration spells to return this area back to its orginal state. The only difference is that the copper in the mountain will be extracted remotely which will aid in funding the campaign and will take away the disireability of the area. The mountain will be sealed as well and the place will look just as it did before these people arrived.

Second day of Sinearian Invasion,

19th Day of Icewind, 14FC

There are reports of survivors from the village. I am not concerned, I am sending out our best agent, a large man by the name of Thatch to halt their progress and will eventually deal with them painfully, he requested several soldiers meet him in specific areas to aid in his disguise, but they are too ignorant to relize their fate. He swears to treat all corpes with utmost respect after he’s done with them. He is supposed to make contact with them today and will help remove each of them one at a time. We are tracking a rebel in our ranks who is attempting to make contact with the survivors but it is doubtful that such contact will ever be acheived. It is also been reported that a figure resembling ancient drawings of the speaker of the goddess aiding the survivors. While these reports are unconfirmed, more investigation is required.

Third day of Sinearian Invasion,

20th day of Icewind, 14FC

Thatch has made confirmed contact with the survivors. They all seem very confused and in need of some “guidence”. He put on a good show killing some of our own troops, but it gained the trust of the survivors and he is now embeded with them until such notice that he is dead or the party is.

In more disturbing news, it has bee confirmed that the survivors have made contact with the speaker of the goddess and she seems to be supporting them. They wield magical arms and armor which are aiding them in avoiding our patrols. One of them seems to disappear completely on occasion. This news is troubling but under the watch of Thatch, they wont get very far in the direction they wish to tread.

Excerpt from the Journal of a former Sinearian Agent

Dear Journal,

I’ve been tracking the survivors for some time now and I have seen two of them stricken down due to some kind of circumstance created by this Thatch character. Tonight I will make my move and get them away from this area and bring Thatch to the Provincial capital where he can be brought to justice. What these people are doing is wrong. The Sinearians should not have the power to play god to all these people, and I’m gonna make sure they don’t. Tonight I’ll make contact with the survivors and hopefully extract them from the area. The only preceivable problem is if someone interfeared with the teleportation, because that could potentially throw us dangerously off course.

Excerpt from the journal of a former Sinearian Agent

Dear Journal,

I took the fools right through the old abandoned silver mine that was infested with Formians. The little dwarf was such a nuisence that I had him take most of the blows from the main defender of the colony. He would have been the hardest to take out, but the Formian knocked him out in only three hits. After the dwarf of most definitly dead, i made short work of the Formian, kept several of the dwarfs pieces of equipment, and gave the body and the rest to the remains of the survivors, who have resorted to stealing from each other. Quite pitiful if you ask me. Tonight I’ll probably finish off the other two, and go back to camp to lay out the plans on attacking the next village.

Excerpt from Journal of Former Sinearian Agent

Dear Journal,

I met with Captain Uref today. He’s not quite as organized as Emer was, but he seems to be more aggressive, which this invasion could use. There I was gifted with a new item, a teleportation disruption wand. It has the power to change the location of any teleportation to a location I have set in my mind. If this Rogue Agent decides to show his face and usher the survivors away, I’m going to make sure they are as far away from home as possble. As far away from help as possible too. I’m taking the rogue home.
